Guidelines
- Disposable media must be central and integral to the film.
- Acceptable devices include anything that you might have on you: cell phones, point and shoot cameras, DSLRs, webcams, screen capture software, Flip video cams, and the like. We love when filmmakers get creative with their equipment.
- Use of multiple devices is encouraged but by no means necessary
- Submissions must be under 10 minutes
- Submissions must be accompanied by a non-refundable submission fee of $.99
- If selected, the filmmaker will be contacted and must provide an uncompressed version of the film via our ftp.
- Filmmakers are responsible for their usage of restricted or copyrighted material. (DFF is not liable for any copyright material unlawfully used)

Selection Criteria
Selections will be equally judged on the inventive and experimental use of the media as well as the content of
the film.
Prizes
The prizes for 2012 are bigger and better than ever! Winning filmmakers will recieve a 4 week post production package from Greenhouse Studios valued at $10,000; messenger bags from Rickshaw Bags; camping gear from Alite Designs; an overnight stay at the Rex Hotel and more!

Judges
Selected submissions will be juried by the 2012 Disposable Film Festival esteemed panel of judges. Last year's panel included:
Ted Hope
Dubbed "the most powerful man in independent cinema," Ted Hope is the producer of over sixty films, including 21 GRAMS, AMERICAN SPLENDOR, HAPPINESS, THE ICE STORM, IN THE BEDROOM and ADVENTURELAND. Ted has won three Sundance Grand Prizes and produced the first features of Alan Ball, Michel Gondry, Hal Hartley, Nicole Holofcener, and Ang Lee. He blogs at Hope For Film and co-founded the Indie Film review site Hammer To Nail. Ted's most recent production, SUPER, stars Rainn Wilson, Ellen Page, Liv Tyler and Kevin Bacon. He is currently in production on DARK HORSE, written and directed by Todd Solondz, and starring Jordan Gelber, Selma Blair, Justin Bartha, Mia Farrow, and Christopher Walken.
Hawk Ostby
Hawk Ostby is the celebrated co-writer of the Oscar-nomianted CHILDREN OF MEN and 2008 blockbuster IRONMAN, starring Robert Downey Jr.
Blake Whitman
Blake Whitman is the Community Director for Vimeo.com, an online video platform where filmmakers can post, comment on, and receive feedback on their films.
Matthew Lessner
Matthew Lessner is an award-winning writer/director whose work has been screened at top festivals worldwide, including Sundance, SXSW, and Clermont-Ferrand. His first feature narrative, THE WOODS (2011), was hailed by Indiewire as "edgy and ambitious" and was the first Kickstarter funded feature to be selected by Sundance. His past work includes the absurdist DARLING DARLING, starring Michael Cera, which won Lessner the Tom Berman Most Promising Filmmaker Award at Ann Arbor Film Festival, and the social satire BY MODERN MEASURE, which screened at both SXSW and Sundance. Lessner's work has been featured in Wholphin DVD Magazine, The Journal of Short Film, Canal + and PBS. He has also directed acclaimed videos for such bands as Dirty Projectors, Fool's Gold, and Local Natives.
